The Sheriff page does not publish a separate records-unit number, public-information email or form, office hours, booking desk, current receiving jail, roster, or booking-photo fee. Call the main number to identify the current records custodian and the receiving facility, then send a written Texas Public Information Act request for existing records. The Attorney General’s request guidance explains that a written request triggers the Act. Ask the custodian for an itemized estimate before authorizing any charge because no local Kent fee schedule was located.

The Clerk is the route for a filed criminal case, cause number, docket, or disposition. It is not the confirmed custodian for a booking photograph. When a record is requested, distinguish the original booking from later court action.
- For a Kent arrest report, a public booking photograph, or the location of a current receiving jail, start with the Sheriff’s Office and use the Kent County records guide to frame a written request.
- For a warrant concern, review the local confirmation steps on Most Wanted. Kent does not publish a confirmed online warrant portal or wanted list in the sources reviewed.
- For a later court outcome, contact the Clerk and compare the case number and court instead of relying on a booking entry or news item. Booking charges are accusations, and every person is presumed innocent unless a court proves guilt.
- For state prison custody, use the official Texas Department of Criminal Justice inmate information route. It covers state custody, not every Kent arrest, and its published policy does not make inmate photographs public.
- For federal custody, use the Federal Bureau of Prisons locator. For immigration detention, use the ICE Online Detainee Locator System. Neither is a Kent County booking roster.
